Robust automation and miniaturisation

Our high-content analysis (HCA) team collaborates with you to develop high-throughput screening (HTS)-compatible assays, miniaturised to 384-well and 1,536-well formats, to screen libraries of up to 3 million small molecules. Our state-of-the-art liquid handling facilities support advanced cell culture procedures, medium changes and compound treatments with robustness and accuracy. Our collection of high-end microscopes, integrated within several fully automated systems, enables us to deliver the throughput and quality that your screen demands.

Facilities and infrastructure

Our state-of-the-art infrastructure seamlessly supports your HCA assays, ranging from standard 2D cellular assays to demanding 4D assays and large-scale screening campaigns. At the core of our HCA platform are four fully automated HCS setups, including three confocal Opera Phenix systems and one Operetta CLS system, delivering over 400,000 data points daily, with 24/7 unattended data acquisition and environmentally controlled plate hotels. Two automated ImageXpress systems and brightfield microscopes enhance our capabilities.  

This robust workflow is backed by advanced cell culture and liquid handling facilities, helping ensure precise phenotype scoring in 2D, 3D and 4D using various mammalian cells and fungi. HCA data is managed via a fibre-optic network, with twelve workstations dedicated to image analysis and a GPU cluster for AI-based analysis using deconvolution networks and multiparameter analysis software tools.
